“Bramble Patch“ 2023

This is another prepped oak panel, stained, sealed, and primed on the front. The first layer was an acrylic blending, which was left to dry, then the browns applied. Like Extraterrestrial, this one also had a spray varnish between the abstraction and brushwork. The hawk is a little more wooden & simplistic than I wanted – it’s tough to work so small.
